Iran oil and Cyber attacks


A Iranian industry sources said on Monday that Iran is investigating a suspected cyber attack on its main oil export terminal and on tje ministry itself.

 All are asking how could detect a virus to the Kharg Island? However, a virus was detected inside the control systems of Kharg Island, which handles the vast majority of crude oil export of Iran. But the terminal remained operational, a source at the National Iranian Oil Com. said.

The virus attacks with the Stuxnet computer worm which reportedly affected Iranian nuclear facilities in 2009-2010, struck late on Sunday. The virus also hit the internet and communications systems of oil ministry of Iran and National oil company . A source reported that  Computer system controlling a number of Iran's other oil facilities have been disconnected from internet as a precaution.

The media network of the oil ministry said some date of computer had been affected but that there was no large damage.
